Monitoring customers,
On Sunday, July 21 a series of events led to a major failure of our server at our co-location facility.
The website is partially running, we are manually bringing farms online. Please contact us if you have not been able to login.
Late Sunday night a group of storms and high winds destroyed a transformer dropping a phase at the facility. They are equipped with an automatic generator that failed to detect the dropped phase and did not start. This caused a hard shutdown on the server that led to hardware failure that caused a hard drive failure. The server was designed to be fault tolerant in the event of two hard drive failures, but that did not happen here. The drive that failed was for database backups, but it only failed partially and caused an error that wrote many gigabytes of corrupt data into the database. This drive was pulled and the machine overloaded.
We are working with experts to recover the information and get back to a running state. Unfortunately, this is a slow process with no hints as to how long it can take. We are working full time to find a solution and will notify everyone once this is complete.
Your local computers should still be showing you the barn information and alarm conditions. If this is not the case, please contact us. We are still here for any parts and service that you require.
Please expect an email and/or call in the near future with an update.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
